Ed Roman Pearlcaster, Candy Tangerine, Second-Hand, Overview
A boutique s-style guitar with top-shelf tonewoods for under a grand!
Item in good condition. Minor signs of use (small scratches or marks)
Ed Roman was one of the biggest names in the US guitar industry, and was most notably associated with Roman guitars in Nevada, Las Vegas which he founded in 1976 and continued to run until his unfortunate passing in 2011.
In addition to distributing top-shelf guitars, Roman was also involved in building his own boutique line of guitars. This Pearlcaster is a fine example of one such instrument. It sports an alder body, AAA flame maple neck, Grover rotomatic machineheads, super stable two-point trem, Seymour Duncan JB jr stacked humbuckers in the neck and bridge plus an SSL-3 in the middle resulting in a hotter s-style guitar that's perfect for high-octane blues through to heavy rock and beyond.
It comes fully set up with D'Addario 10-46, weighs 8.14lbs and does not include a gig bag or hard case.
